On July 7th 2013, we officially launched the Children's Garden at the Markham Museum to commemorate Jenna's life. We started with an introduction about the activities to take part in, like bird house painting, planting a flower by each of you who attended, and enjoy snacks, food and refreshments. We have had a couple of speeches from Mike Schryer, who was responsible in launching this garden into a reality and, Martha from The Friends of Markham that helped to fund a portion of the garden.
Thank You for All of your donations and support for this successful launch. Please see some pictures capturing many moments and memories:
For Jenna
This site is for Jenna. Jenna had Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3B during her 30th year. Jenna has transitioned in December 2010 and is watching over us with the love that she has imprinted within each of us through her legacy she left behind. Jenna's loving family and friends would like to raise awareness and to accept private donations to fulfill her dream to create a Children's Garden in her honor.

**Jenna's Childrens Garden Launch - July 7th 2013**
Hello Friends and Family,
It is my pleasure to announce that the Children's Garden at the Markham Museum will officially be launched Sunday, July 7th. Thanks to the Friends of Markham and the Markham museum, as well as EDA Collaborative Inc who have pulled together their resources to make Jenna's dream come true.
Come out and celebrate to commemorate this children's garden to Jenna's vision of community, sharing this memorable event by seeing the garden come to life, in serving children and adults alike. The children's garden will include native plants and flowers attracting birds and beautiful butterflies in symbol of Jenna's transformation. This event will include planting flowers, painting bird houses, speeches, refreshments and snacks. We look forward to sharing this memorable moment with you who all made this possible through your support and donations.
Jenna has envisioned children learning the valuable lesson of sowing and reaping through gardening. Jenna wants us to learn how to build a garden and understand that it is a part of nature and a habit that we can adopt for better living by appreciating its beauty. There are countless benefits to gardening that the Markham Museum will be dedicated to educating children in the years to come. We are still accepting donations to contribute to the garden's maintenance and upkeep the beautiful plants.
Volunteers are welcome. We will have an initial planting of the garden in the beginning of June, therefore we will send a further update to let you know when you can volunteer and contribute to the garden.
Stay tuned with updates progressing to the official launch date of July 7th.We are grateful to finally see Jenna's dream come true and to share it with you.
Please come out and celebrate.
We sincerely thank you and look forward to see you there.

***Children's Garden Update***
Dear Friends & Family,
Unfortunately, Jenna's dream of the children's garden will be postponed til spring of 2013. It is sad to announce this cancellation at this time.
We have had the City of Markham involved in this project which delayed this project. The upside is that this garden is now part of a larger vision and it is the first garden dedicated to a person (Jenna) in the town of Markham, therefore the town has also donated a portion of their funds into this project. They are laying the groundwork and foundation to the garden which frees up the donations that we have received for the garden itself to be planted and bloom.
Since fall is approaching and the foundation will only be completed in September, there is no point planting in the fall. Therefore Spring is the new focus since we will be able to fulfill Jenna's dream in time for the next summer and maintain for years to come.
I will keep you updated to the official Launch Date to be late June 2013 to celebrate Jenna's dream fulfilled. This event will be memorable with fun activities and education to teach children and adults alike about gardening.
Stay tuned for further updates...
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Mike Schryer

Children's Garden - In memory of Jenna
Come and celebrate the launch of the
Children's Garden in memory of Jenna's honor and her dream fulfilled.
Jenna has had the dream of having a Children's garden to educate children and adults about the fundamentals of plants and gardening to reconnect with our mother earth.
Jenna has worked at the Markham museum to teach children and to share her knowledge to enrich her community of our native plants. Jenna's dedication has not been lost, but regained through her determination and influence over others who wish to continue her vision and dream to come to reality. With the help of her dedicated lover, the Markham Museum as well as her friends, we are pleased to announce that the Children's garden will be launching in celebration of a great accomplishment to serve children and adults alike for years to come.
All are welcome to celebrate this meaningful event that Jenna has given her dedication to manifest with thanks and gratitude.

Jenna's Vision --> Children's Garden
Hello Everyone,
Plans are finally underway for the Children's Garden at the Markham Museum. The launch of the children's Garden is scheduled for late Spring/Early Summer of 2012.
We have formed a committee to make Jenna's vision for a Children's Garden possible in a joint venture with the Markham Museum. Because the Museum is owned by the Town of Markham, there are politics involved therefore there is a board of directors that need to oversee our proposal for final approval.
We thank you for all of your generous donations thus far to help make Jenna's dream possible. The Children's Garden will be located at the center, right in the heart of the Museum grounds.
We will send periodic updates to the progress of our plans and look forward to invite all of you to join us in the launch in Memory of Jenna.
We thank you for your ongoing support.
With Appreciation and Gratitude,
Mike Schryer
